The Brickton Gallery located at. 147 Vine Avenue in Park Ridge has expressed an interest in our show for the fall. There is a current contract submission. Dana who lived most of her life in Park Ridge, right there on Vine Avenue, noted that this little building went from the “Evening Pipe Shop” to a respectable gallery. The gallery is fairly spacious and not for profit. There is no fee to host the show. The only thing we would be required to do is supply the reception with refreshments. Those of you that enter work at the Park Ridge Art Fair will remember the gallery as being across the street from Hodges Park.

The hours of operation are Monday- Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and   Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The gallery has come a long way in the past few years having had some highline artists and publicity. The Chicago Artist Coalition just loves this out of the downtown area gallery and has written much about it.  It is a safe gallery with the Director and sales staff on hand. Visit the online gallery at the following web address:

This will be a juried show. The image will be juried by email with the IWS board members making the decision which paintings will be in the show.  If you do not have email capabilities, when the time comes we will ask you to take a digital photo or a photograph of your work and send it in to the post office box. Again, that will be when the prospectus comes out. One of our members will scan it in and it will be viewed at our online board meeting. Last year’s IWS show winner Robert Koch, IWSM, (Illinois Watercolor Society Master), will serve as this years' juror of awards.

PROSPECTUS

We will work on drawing up a prospectus and call to artists so that we can have an attractive juried show as well as awards.
